Denmark's Nicki Sorensen won the second stage of the Tour of Denmark in Aarhus with Saxo Bank team-mate Matti Breschel completing a one-two.
On a day domianted by blustery cross-winds that played havoc with the peloton, Sorensen managed to pull out an impressive 20 second margin over the rest of the field, while Breschel repeated the sprint form that gave him victory in Wednesday's opening stage as he led home the chasing pack.
Sorensen now leads the race overall, with Breschel in second place 11 seconds back. Australian Simon Gerrans (Cervelo) is third overall a further 11 seconds behind.
"Tactically we didn't want any group getting away that didn't contain Matti, unless of course it was one of us going solo," said Sørensen.
"So when Matti attacked and was caught, I had been thinking about going myself at that point, we knew we had to make it a hard race for everyone and I think we succeeded very well."

Stage one report
Saxo Bank rider Matti Breschel won the 175km opening stage of the Tour of Denmark from Hittshals to Rebild.
The Danish rider managed to finish just clear of a chasing pack headed by Cervelo's Simon Gerrans and Capinordic's Martin Pedersen.
A five rider breakaway escaped 18km into the stage and included Britain's Jeremy Hunt.
The breakaway at one point had five minutes on the peloton but Team Capinordic and Saxo Bank worked to bring the break back.
The stage ended with three laps of a 13.2km circuit and an attack by a group of four riders was chased down with 10km to go before Breschel claimed victory.

Doesn't matter what the stage is. Saxo Bank keeps winning. They started slow this year, but they definitely give a sponsor their money's worth.
they all take perfromance enhancing drugs so why bother, just as easy to get half a dozen smack heads in a romm and watch them shoot up
OK Chaps,
LA is in the Bahamas, AC is in Spain, NS is in Denmark so I think perhaps a comment about him, his team(actually in the race) and the race that is underway.... OK!?!?
Great tactical racing by Saxo. Once again showing the others (Cervelo etc) what is what. This is very much shaping up to be a dam good race
Why would any rider want to have Bruyneel giving them the Sermon of the day and all the other Bad advice that has seen many of the Former Teams to have so much trouble in the dope testing.
Some good riders have gone down the pan since their association with Bruyneel.
Here we go with the Armstrong obsession again. Seems like those who profess to hate Armstrong the most are the ones who are least able to shut their yaps about him. He's not even in the %$#$ race.
Amstrong will pay big money to the right people and the likelihood is he (LA) will only ride one more season. From that point Andy Schleck would be the main man for the Grand Tours. The thought of being Armstrong/Bruyneel's puppet is not a good one though, but can't see it being much different to working with Riis.
????
Why would Andy Schleck consider leaving this team. Everyone who rides on this team wins. Everyone who rides for Armstrong, works for Armstrong.
