Albion make comfortable progress

Albion eased in to the second round of the CIS cup with a convincing 3-0 victory over a hapless Livingston side.

The home side took the lead after only nine minutes when a corner from the left by Robert Barr was punched in to his own net by Livingston keeper Roddy McKenzie.

Rovers were unlucky not to have a penalty just before the break when a Pat Walker ball across the face of goal appeared to be handled by Jason Talbot.

However, Rovers got the second just after the break when Walker dispossessed Neil Hastings before picking out Barr at the rear post to calmly slot home.

Albion grabbed their third after 89 minutes when a Walker ball across goal was slid home at the near post by substitute Marc McCusker.
