Stuttgart defender Ermin Bicackic will miss up to two months after tearing knee ligaments in a cup match against Wehen Wiesbaden.

The Bosnian has partially torn his medial collateral ligament following a challenge with Wehen striker Marco Sailer who inadvertently fell on his left knee.

Stuttgart will be very disappointed by the loss of the 21-year-old for up to two months, especially following the injuries of other defenders Georg Niedermeier and Shinji Okazaki.

The Bundesliga season commences this Saturday with Stuttgart facing Schalke in their opening encounter.
