Baggies close in on Donk loan

West Bromwich Albion have agreed a deal to sign defender Ryan Donk, according to Dutch outfit AZ Alkmaar.

The Eredivisie club claim Donk will join the Premier League new boys on a season-long loan deal.

Baggies boss Tony Mowbray has moved to bring in highly-rated Donk as he looks to shore up his defence.

Mowbray has been busy in the transfer market having signed Jonas Olsson NEC Nijmegen on Sunday and Donk looks set to becomes the club's 11th new face of the summer

The Holland Under-21 international will join compatriot Gianni Zuiverloon at The Hawthorns if he successfully comes through a medical.
