Scotland manager George Burley is confident Stephen McManus will be fit for the forthcoming World Cup qualifiers against Macedonia and Iceland. The Celtic captain appeared to pick up an ankle injury during the 4-2 defeat by Rangers at Parkhead on Sunday.
Preston defender Callum Davidson and Birmingham striker Garry O'Connor missed their respective club games at the weekend but Burley is relaxed about the state of his squad ahead of his first competitive games in charge of the national team.
Scotland face Macedonia on Saturday, and then take on Iceland on September 10.
He said: "There are four or five players to be checked but McManus should be fine.
"They are all desperate to play but you get on with it. You can't start blaming injuries.
"I've got a good idea of my team in my head and that hasn't changed over the weekend."
