Oldham striker Craig Davies is expected to return to the starting line-up for the Johnstone's Paint Trophy clash at home to Morecambe.Davies returned from suspension for the 2-2 draw with Colchester on Saturday but was not included in manager John Sheridan's squad.

However he is set to partner Lewis Alessandra in attack as Sheridan makes wholesale changes for the visit of the League Two strugglers.

Experienced forward Lee Hughes and goalkeeper Mark Crossley are set to be rested with Greg Fleming poised to start in goal.

Midfielder Kieran Lee could also feature as he comes back from a hamstring injury while the likes of Stefan Stam, Chris O'Grady and Deane Smalley are all pushing for a place.
