Mon 01 Sep, 12:45 PM

Northampton stopper Chris Dunn insists he is ready to replace Mark Bunn after learning from the Blackburn-bound man for the past two years.Bunn is set to complete a club record transfer to the Premier League side on Monday leaving 20-year-old Dunn as the new custodian at Sixfields.

Dunn told the Chronicle & Echo: "I texted Mark on Friday and I spoke to him on Saturday.

"He's helped me massively, even when I've just been sat on the bench I've been learning things about his game and in training he's helped me improve.

"There were question marks over my kicking last season and he's helped me with that over the summer.

"I just want to come in and impress. Obviously it doesn't look good when you come in and lose 4-1 at Tranmere but I've got to take the positives from my own performances and get on with it."
