Lincoln boss Peter Jackson is confident of having striker Adrian Patulea signed in time to make his debut against Barnet on Saturday. The Imps and Patulea's club Petrolul Ploesti have agreed a fee and the 24-year-old is now awaiting international clearance.
Patulea caught the eye during a pre-season trial after scoring a glut of goals and Jackson is hoping he can be involved against the Bees.
"Nothing has changed since Friday but we're working hard to ensure that Adrian is in the squad for Saturday's game against Barnet," said Jackson.
"All the necessary paperwork has been signed so it's just a matter of waiting for the international clearance to go through and we're confident it will be confirmed in the next couple of days."
