Striker Jo Kuffour may miss out on making his Bristol Rovers debut against his former club Bournemouth in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy.Kuffour joined Rovers last Friday but missed Saturday's fixture with Leeds due to his lack of fitness and manager Paul Trollope is not convinced he will be ready to face the Cherries.
Trollope said: "He missed quite a lot of pre-season because of a hernia operation, then came back and played for Bournemouth and has had a few bits of discomfort from it.
"He also missed quite a bit of training in the last 10 days because of flu, so we will monitor him this week. We want Jo to be firing and fit when he does play."
Striker Andrew Williams will also be absent following his loan move to Hereford. Defenders Danny Coles and Joe Jacobson both remain sidelined with knee injuries.
