Bolton captain Kevin Nolan has offered to apologise to a critical fan after he confronted him at the end of Saturday's 0-0 draw with West Brom. The former England Under-21 midfielder lost his cool as he made his way off the pitch at Reebok Stadium after hearing abuse from the Wanderers follower.
"One of our fans was having a go and we had a few words," Nolan told the Daily Mail.
"He was upset, I was upset and it got heated. I shouldn't have done it. I'd like to see him now to apologise.
"I won't tell you what he shouted. But I called him down to say, 'Come on, you explain to me what we're doing wrong'.
"I knew it was wrong straight away and I walked away. I'm an emotional lad and I love this club. I genuinely wanted to know what more he wants me to do?
"I'm running my socks off and trying my best. But fans pay to watch us win and have a right to have a go."

Good for you Nolan, you realise that YOU have to be bigger and better than the average fan due to the amount you get paid and the fact the club has been under achieving for some time now.
At least you did not spit in his face or karate kick him like some other players.
Your a good Captain and I think in time the squad of new players will click. I think the loss of Elmander so early is a blow to us however we should have got in another loan striker weeks ago.
Why are we not going for the yound lad Frazier Campbell??? If anything just to stop him going to Hull who we could end up in a relegation fight with.
What a fantastic captain, who else in the premier league would say that.
