Palace ace turns down Forest

Crystal Palace midfielder Ben Watson has turned down a move to Nottingham Forest because he wants to join QPR.The Eagles accepted a bid for Watson, who was transfer-listed after refusing to sign a new contract at Selhurst Park, but the 23-year-old has rejected a switch to the newly-promoted side.

"Ben's turned Forest down," Palace boss Neil Warnock told the South London Press.

"It's not necessarily the case that he'll be leaving before the transfer deadline.

"Ben and his agent have made it clear that he wants to go to QPR, so I don't know where that leaves us."

  1. The jury is still out on warnock for me. we have no defence and no one able to score a goal so he sells morrison and lets freedman go. They be be getting on a bit but schowcroft is a complete waste of space

  4. warnock is a good manager. pity about the team wot the hell is going on at palace. It dosent help that simon jordan is of next season but lets face it he hasnt really put his hand in his pocket and bought any one decent.

  6. greedy greedy boy.Like all the others he's putting money ahead of football and his career.He wanted a rise of 370% on his current wages.Hope he is made to suffer now by Warnock.
