Alan Pardew has warned Charlton's players they are facing a tough fortnight on the training ground following their performance at Preston. The Addicks boss was left fuming after his side threw away the lead given to them by Andy Gray's penalty to slip to a 2-1 defeat at Deepdale.
Pardew had made just one enforced change from the team which beat Reading in a 4-2 thriller the previous week and was at a loss to explain Charlton's poor display.
"I was scratching my head at times as this was the same team apart from one who was unfortunately injured," he said.
"That's what this division is all about, delivering that week in, week out.
"We've a free two weeks now, and there will be lot of work done on the training ground."
