Plymouth Argyle have confirmed the signing of right-sided French winger Nicolas Marin on a season-long loan deal from Lorient.The Pilgrims have successfully beaten the transfer deadline to land the 28-year-old Marseille-born midfielder on loan.
Marin, who has signed a season-long deal with a view to a permanent deal, has spent his whole career playing in his homeland.
He started out with Auxerre, before moves to St Etienne and Sedan.
He joined Lorient last year and featured in 20 games, but he has now sealed a switch to Home Park.
Argyle boss Paul Sturrock said: "He's a wide-right player who has played five or six years in the French top-flight.
"We've had him watched a number of times and he's an exciting player.
"We feel he'll be a great benefit to the club."
Lorient's website confirmed: "The English club Plymouth and FC Lorient today agreed for the loan of Nicolas Marin, who will spend a season in the Championship."
