Portsmouth midfielder Jean-Francois Christophe has joined League One outfit Southend United on a one-month loan deal.The 21-year-old has yet to make a competitive appearance for Pompey and had loan spells at Bournemouth and Yeovil last season.

Christophe featured for the Shrimpers against Fulham during a pre-season trial last month and is eligible to feature in Tuesday's Johnstone's Paint Trophy first-round tie against Leyton Orient.
