Macclesfield boss Keith Alexander will be without Sean Hessey and Jamie Tolley for the Johnstone's Paint Trophy first-round tie at Crewe.Skipper Hessey was sent off during Saturday's embarrassing 6-0 home defeat against Darlington and serves a one-match ban.
Midfielder Tolley was taken off on a stretcher against the Quakers after sustaining a serious injury and looks set to be replaced by Terry Dunfield.
However, Izak Reid returns after suspension as the Silkmen aim to record their first win of the season after four straight League Two defeats.
Alexander said: "Some of the players have had enough chances and we'll try and have a look at one or two others on Tuesday.
"But there are some positions where we don't have too much cover so that will dictate some of the changes we make."
