Everton Fail With Hunt Bid

Mon 01 Sep, 08:09 PM

Reading have rejected a bid from Everton for midfielder Stephen Hunt.

The Toffees have tried to beat the transfer deadline to secure a deal for the Republic of Ireland international.

But Everton manager David Moyes' offer of around £3.5million has been rejected by the Championship side.

Royals boss Steve Coppell has always insisted that he will only let his players leave if their valuations are met.

Whilst the likes of Nicky Shorey and Ibrahima Sonko have been allowed to make immediate returns to the Premier League, the club have stood firm over the likes of James Harper, Kevin Doyle and Hunt by rejecting bids.

  1. I feel sorry for Moyes.... last season they genuinely had a chance to go for that 4th spot, which they missed....however it must have given them soo much hope for the upcoming season.... but its not gonna happen it seems... definately not this season.... But I still wish u good luck.... hope for the best....
