Champions League - Chelsea's opponents change coach

Coach Ioan Andone has left Romanian champions CFR Cluj after the team's poor start to the new season.

CFR Cluj stand 11th in the Romanian first division with eight points after two wins from their opening six games.

The club said Andone would be replaced by assistant Maurizio Trombetta. Andone helped CFR Cluj clinch the league and cup double last season, the first trophies to be won by the club.

CFR Cluj are to play in Champions League Group A alongside Chelsea, Roma and Bordeaux.

"CFR Cluj thanks Andone for his work but sometimes it's necessary to break a poor season and usually the coach must unfortunately pay," CFR Cluj executive president Iuliu Muresan said.
