MONTPELLIER, France (AFP) - Tight head prop Jannie Du Plessis was on Monday called in to the South Africa World Cup squad as a replacement for the injured BJ Botha.

A team spokesman said Du Plessis is expected to arrive in France on Wednesday or Thursday.

Botha suffered suspected knee ligament damage in Sunday's 64-15 win over the United States.

The Springboks will take on Fiji in the quarter-finals on Sunday in Marseille.
