Veteran midfielder Nick Barmby will captain Hull in the continued absence of injured club skipper Ian Ashbee.
Manager Phil Brown has already handed the armband to George Boateng, Michael Turner, Paul McShane and Ibrahima Sonko this season but has now made a permanent choice.
Brown said: "It is something that has got Nicky's name written all over it. He has matured into a leader, none more so than over the last couple of years at Hull City."
Former England international Barmby, 35, has started just two of Hull's nine first-team games this season, both in the Carling Cup.

Pick your Captain! Stck with Him! Give the Lads some belief! Give the lads some consistancy!
Good call but allow a bit of consistency by keeping one captain and not constantly swapping around! Players need to know who captain is and Barmby should know he is secure in that role!
No good if you don't pick him Phil.
Barmby is a good lad but Brown is cliche man.
