Bruce slams defending

Sunderland boss Steve Brought was upset with some of his side's defending as they shared four goals with West Ham.

The Black Cats came back from 2-0 down to draw - despite the loss of Kenwyne Jones when he was sent off - but Bruce still sees room for improvement.

"The two goals we gave away were poor and you get punished in the Premier League. We've got to eradicate that," Bruce said.

"We've gifted them two goals and usually in the Premier League that's enough."

    Have to disagree with you there mate, 1st­ goal was Turners fault as he didnt win the chaleenge on­ the edge of the box, and also to blame was Gordon in­ his positioning to the ball. If you talk to any­ goalkeeper they will tell you they should go to the­ ball and narow the angle, he should have cut out the­ cross and prevented the ball from reaching the w/ham­ striker.
    The second goal, was Nolworthys fault, but I­ would rather he was in the team than Ferdinand. Gordon­ did make amends for his first half performance by­ making some crucial saves in the second half of the­ game.
