Crystal Palace manager Neil Warnock had rare words of praise for the match officials after his side's 1-1 draw with Preston.
Darren Ambrose cancelled out Ross Wallace's 35th-minute opener at Deepdale but Warnock praised the officials after they declined to award Preston a penalty for an incident in the second half.
"I love coming to Preston, especially when we get a result," he said. "We are not on a bad run. I can't fault the lads. The manager can only ask the team to give everything and they do give everything.
"The ref gave a penalty. It's the kind of penalty you get against you at Preston that you don't get against you at Palace. I think it was harsh, he was pushed in the back.
"Fortunately for us the linesman saw the offside and he told him straight away. At first I just thought he had flagged for the penalty.
"They were decent, the linesmen, spot-on."

I believe it's a common practice amongst managers, particularly ones who are known to commonly bad mouth the refereeing of their games. If you say a nice word once in a while, regardless of how silly it sounds to the rest of us, it goes in his favour the next time he's in trouble with the F.A. (which will probably be quite soon no doubt).
So true Ross H and I'm a Palace supporter. Why does Warnock have to always comment even when he has nothing sensible to say?
How typical of Warnock the officials were first rate at Preston he trills but only because they were "spot on" with decisions which went Palace's way. How pathetic.
