Two goals in the opening five minutes from Jean-Claude Darcheville and Steven Whittaker were enough for Walter Smith's side.

Hearts 1-1 Celtic

Andrius Velicka's injury-time penalty rescued a point for Hearts against Celtic.

Celtic took the lead in a tight and hard fought match at Tynecastle through Scott McDonald on 73 minutes.

The SPL champions looked on course for leaving the capital with all three points, when Gary Caldwell brough down Christian Nade in the area in the first minute of added time.

Celtic keeper Artur Boruc dived the right way but couldn't reach Andrius Verlicka's strike from the spot that flew into the left-hand side of the net.

Sunday

Aberdeen (7) v Hibernian (3)

Dons defender Jackie McNamara is out with a hamstring strain and Zander Diamond (wrist) and Jamie Smith (hamstring) are doubts. Darren Mackie (ankle) is definitely out and this match could come too soon for both Steve Lovell (stomach muscle) and Lee Mair (knee) - but Derek Young, Barry Nicholson and Derek Soutar are all trying to overcome bouts of illness to make the squad.

Hibs midfielder Guillaume Beuzelin has recovered from the hamstring injury which kept him out of last weekend's 2-2 draw with Dundee United and winger Filipe Morais is also available again after overcoming illness. Striker Clayton Donaldson has been told he can play after missing the United encounter with a fractured finger and Hibs' only worry is over winger Alan O'Brien (hamstring).
