Chelsea manager Luiz Felipe Scolari will not face FA charge over comments made about referee Mike Dean following the 2-1 defeat at home to Arsenal.
Scolari accused Dean of "killing" Chelsea and demanded an apology after Dean and his assistant allowed Robin van Persie's equaliser for Arsenal, which should have been ruled offside.
The Brazilian escaped punishment despite the FA's recent crackdown on criticism of referees as part of the much-maligned 'Respect' campaign.
Sir Alex Ferguson of Manchester United, David Moyes of Everton, Joe Kinnear of Newcastle and Phil Brown of Hull City have all been fined following run-ins with officials this season.
Scolari's comments came after the flag stayed down when the offside Van Persie collected a pass from Denilson on the edge of the penalty area, before smashing the ball past Petr Cech.
He said: "Have you ever heard me speak about referees any time in the games I have been here? Never, in 15 in the Premier League, four in the Champions League, the Carling Cup, I have not said anything, but today is different.
"I do not want the referee to make something different - I want only after tomorrow that he looks at the television, that the referee and the linesman see they are wrong, and they say 'sorry'.
"That is all I want, no more, because they were not good and made a mistake, which I understand.
"I do not want three points, all I want is them to say sorry it was a mistake, because in the first half, the same linesman made a mistake against us with [Salomon] Kalou.
"He is human and he can make a mistake, but the offside has killed my team. I just want them to say they are wrong, because I am wrong when I put some players in, or the players are wrong when they make a mistake in front of goal or are not covering.
"These are all wrong, but the referee is never wrong. I do not think they came here to deliberately make a mistake against us.
"It is difficult to play for my team after this, because they lost their concentration. The offside killed my team."
Van Persie admitted he had strayed beyond the last man but said the goal was payback for one he had incorrectly disallowed against Chelsea in 2005.
He said: "I scored a goal against Chelsea [in 2005]. I was onside, but the ref gave it offside and it didn't count. This time was maybe a little bit offside, but it counted and that's all that matters."

mistakes happenz...
when chelsea can win a game by offside....
why can't arsenal
Ohhh poor scholari, does he think this sort of thing never hapens to any other teams?????
scolari is right this is a derby game and this idiotic refree cost us the game (what a ****in fluke) this is professional football you must expect some mistakes by refrees but not a huge mistake that could cost you the game
sappercommando25 (197) or is it superbozoNo1?
What I gave was an analogy. It has nothing to do with context.
Go join your buddy under the rock.
I am REALLY angry with the linesman, it really was a very2 obvious offside, and for him to let it go rightfully destroyed Chelsea. This is because, their morale are blown and i hate to say this but chelsea get kinda desperate and start shooting useless long range balls towards the goal post (which almost everytime is off target). But i believe all will be well when drogba comes back. Even though he is a shadow of wat he used to be, he still can score wonderful goals when the chance comes. Wat wud be nice is for scolari to splash a bit of cash on a CONSISTENT striker so as to prevent 0-0 results. But i still believe this year, blue is gonna be the colour.
Chelsea4life-
Scolari was right. The first goal was scored from an offside positioin. People should start to show the sense of fairness instead of unacademic and weightless arguments that they make over here.
i think scolari shld be more disciplined with his players.
SHAUN C, and so what, Chelsea were 2nd and that is how it is......so, get over it and stop whincing like a girlies blouse...

Hey, have you seen the result you moron? So much for the pathetic predictions. The Scousers are not even capable of hammering the Hammers.

And the same might apply to you too.

Hey, that is some comparison you've got there. Tell me, do you always put things out of context?
mike is the best ref van persie is a football wiz.
bernie d (196), what a total f*cking idiot u r. I suppose if u sexually abuse young children and get away with it then u might as well say that's ok too.
Go back under your rock u f*ckin moron.
For your information Bernie your definition of offside is nothing like the correct wording, but you are right it all comes down to what the ref gives during the game.
