Wrexham manager Brian Little was pleased with his side's second half fightback as they were beaten 2-1 at high-flying Chesterfield. The Dragons crashed to their sixth consecutive defeat after goals from Peter Leven and Jack Lester had put the hosts in firm control before Steve Evans grabbed a consolation.
But, despite being pleased with his side's spirit, Little was disappointed with the way his team went behind. He said: "We do shoot ourselves in the foot at times. We give stupid goals away and the first one was frightening really.
"I have said this so many times, I may as well stick a record on when I talk about goals conceded.
"We did dig in a bit after going behind, but then we try and win a ball on the edge of the box that we can't win and we are two goals down.
"But I thought the players did themselves proud in the second half and I cannot criticise that display because we had a go."
