Oldham manager John Sheridan has hailed his side's stunning 3-1 victory at high-flying Leeds as the most enjoyable of his managerial career. The Latics ended United's unbeaten home record in League One thanks to three goals in 12 first-half minutes which secured their sixth successive away win.

Sheridan, who spent seven years at Leeds as a player and still lives in the city, said: "That was my most enjoyable win as a manager.

"I still love Leeds, but we need to win games and this was a brilliant result for us. Ideally I would like to see Leeds and Oldham promoted.

"I've been back to Elland Road as a player but to come here and win as a manager was a thrill, especially the way we played."
