Southend manager Steve Tilson met with chairman Ron Martin after their 1-0 home defeat to Bristol Rovers to reiterate the need to strengthen.Andy Williams' third goal in two games gave lowly Rovers a welcome victory against Tilson's men at Roots Hall.
And when asked if his job was under threat, the Shrimpers boss said: "If you are not winning, you are always under pressure, but I'm not going to beat myself up over it.
"We have to keep pulling in the same direction. You do not become a bad side overnight, but we have to get a couple of players in as we do not have the firepower at the moment."
