Mascherano: We're Still Fighting

Wed 02 Jan, 03:09 PM

Javier Mascherano maintains Liverpool aren't out of the Premier League title race, but insists they "can't keep looking at the table".

Rafael Benitez's men go into the clash with Wigan at Anfield 13 points adrift of table-topping Arsenal but with two games in hand.

And Mascherano is refusing to write off the Reds' title hopes.

He told the club's official website: "We can still win the Premier League. But we can't keep looking at the table.

"We've got a game coming up against Wigan and we just have to win our next two or three games. If we do that, we will be right up there, because if you win three or four games consecutively, it means you can be closer to the top of the table."
