Millwall have extended the loan stay of Arsenal youth striker Jay Simpson until the end of the season.

Simpson, 19, joined the Lions on transfer deadline day in the summer and has gone on make 20 appearances for the south-east London side in all competitions so far this season, scoring three goals along the way.

The London-born forward is now set to return to the Premier League leaders, for whom he has yet to make a first team appearance, in May.

Millwall manager Kenny Jackett (pictured) said: "I'm very pleased that he will be staying until the end of the season.

"Jay is a very promising young player who I am sure will improve further during the second half of the campaign."
