Sam Vokes bagged a brace to heap more misery on under-pressure Nottingham Forest boss Colin Calderwood and give Bournemouth a crucial 2-0 win.Wales Under-21 international Vokes scored twice inside nine first-half minutes to set up what proved to be a comfortable victory against promotion hopefuls Forest, who failed to register a single shot on target.
The final whistle was met with fierce boos by the travelling support as the Reds slipped 14 points behind leaders Swansea.
Vokes went close on 17 minutes after his header from a Max-Alain Gradel cross was well saved by Paul Smith, but three minutes later the home side stole the lead with Gradel again the provider, Vokes netting with a well-placed header.
As Forest rallied searching for a first away win in five, Vokes again punished them for sloppy defending when strike partner Jo Kuffour played the ball into his path and he wasted no time in slotting his finish past Smith.
In a tepid second half Forest, despite reshuffling their formation, failed to trouble the Bournemouth goal in what was a memorable victory for the home side.
