The Detroit Red Wings scored two last-gasp goals to break a scoreless tie and secure their sixth successive win, beating the Colorado Avalanche 2-0.

ICE HOCKEY Henrik Zetterberg Detroit - 0

The shutout was the 80th of Detroit netminder Dominik Hasek's career. He made 15 saves.

Henrik Zetterberg's goal, which came with two minutes left in the game, was his 30th of the season.

"Pav [Datsyuk] made a strong play in the corner, he put it [the puck] behind the net to me," Zetterberg said.

"I just went to turn around and put it on net and it hit the goalie's stick and went in."

Kris Draper followed with an empty-netter with 13 seconds to play. Datsyuk also assisted on that goal.

The Avalanche had a second-period goal by Milan Hejduk waved off when the referee ruled Colorado's Scott Hannan interfered with Hasek on the play.

Colorado took only three shots in the first period and just one in second period.

Eric Perrin scored in the fourth round of a shootout when the Atlanta Thrashers beat Buffalo 5-4 to end the Sabres' three-game winning streak.

Nathan Horton had the only goal in the shootout and also scored in regulation when the Florida Panthers surprised the Vancouver Canucks 4-3.

Chris Drury scored twice and Henrik Lundqvist made 33 saves in the New York Rangers' fifth successive victory over the New Jersey Devils this season, a 3-1 road win.

Andy McDonald and Brad Boyes had shootout goals and Manny Legace made 30 saves in the St. Louis Blues' 1-0 home win over the Anaheim Ducks, who lost their fifth consecutive game.

Brenden Morrow had a goal and an assist and netminder Marty Turco stopped 32 shots to help the Dallas Stars defeat the Edmonton Oilers 4-1.
