MK Dons assistant boss Ray Mathias insisted Chester had got off lightly after the leaders secured their first home win since New Year's Day.Swailes struck the only goal in the 57th minute but Dons goalkeeper Willy Gueret was also a hero for the second time in a week as he saved Paul Butler's penalty.
Mathias said: "It was a fantastic goal and no one volleys a ball better than Danny Swailes - it was a goal worthy of winning any game.
"We could have won 5-0 and we've got to be really clinical now because it could be vitally important come the end of the season.
"Our back five were also superb and it was another good save from Gueret - just like it was on Monday [against Swansea]."
