Sun 02 Mar, 07:00 PM

Notts County manager Ian McParland was unhappy his side were "caught sleeping" to allow Macclesfield to open the scoring in their 1-1 draw.Macclesfield took the lead when Gareth Evans clipped a neat cross to the far post for youngster Izak Reid to drill home a neat half-volley.

Richard Butcher fired home a brilliant 20-yard volley to earn a point for the Magpies, but McParland rued his team's defensive frailties.

He said: "We switched off for a couple of minutes and were caught sleeping. It was a rubbish goal to give away."
