Darlington manager Dave Penney praised Guylain Ndumbu-Nsungu as Darlington showed their promotion pedigree by beating Brentford 3-1.Ndumbu-Nsungu scored the opener for the Quakers as they eased past the Bees.

Penney said: "Guylain scored a good goal. He gives us something different and once he had more support up front he looked a lot happier.

"We played a lot better in the second half once we switched formation. It enabled us to get four players in attack and that put Brentford under a lot of pressure.

"The system we used in the first half has been effective away from home but it was clear it wasn't working and once we changed it our balance was much better."
