Frank Ribery's agent Alain Migliaccio claims Manchester United have lined up the Bayern Munich winger as a replacement for Cristiano Ronaldo.
The 25-year-old has been strongly linked with a summer move to Barcelona but Migliaccio has now thrown United's hat into the ring.
With rumours of Ronaldo's proposed move to Real Madrid refusing to go away, the former Marseille man's representative believes that, should the Portugal international join the Spanish champions, United would look to replace him with Ribery.
The French international star has been in scintillating form of late, highlighted in Bayern's 5-0 demolition away at Sporting Lisbon in the UEFA Champions last-16 first leg where he scored twice and created two more.
"If Manchester United sells Cristiano Ronaldo, Sir Alex Ferguson would like to cover that transfer with Ribery's signature," Migliaccio told Bild.
Meanwhile, Barcelona president Joan Laporta has denied his club had already reached an agreement to sign Ribery at the end of the season.
"We didn't speak with his representative nor with the player's entourage," he told L'Equipe.
"If one day we were to plan it, we would speak directly with his club."

Ribery could never replace Ronaldo. I think Ribery should go on the left and Manu should sell nani
dazmanutd what a one trick poney
You idiots making fun of his appearance do realize that he was severely injured in a car accident as a child, right? If I remember correctly, he suffered severe burns to the right side of his face in the accident, which is why the hairline on the right side is not symmetrical with the left side. It's never ceases to amaze me how incredibly shallow and small-minded so many of you are. You take a player of Ribery's quality and judge him solely on his appearance. How sad and pathetic.
his face fits perfectly for englands ugliest team he will make tevez look normal as tevez does to rooney
hahah, and dont forget that bi tch ronaldo haha.
what the fuss about ribery's face..
as if the one who comment that ribery is ugly are handsome..
get a life dude
Well i think ribery can not be a good replacement 4 christ ronaldo so they should both play,if he will agrees 2 go from raymond 07060550205
ha ha i love baiting the fans of other football teams its fun
every player wants to come and play for us as glory and trophies are what we are all about and thats what good players want all the rest sign for liverfool chelski or arsenal just for themoney and players who sign for city have no ambition whatsoever just big wallets were the best and everyone knows it
his face fits perfectly for englands ugliest team he will make tevez look normal as tevez does to rooney
2 me I dn't think CRISTI is leavin TRAFFORD. But CRISTI is Unreplaceable..... D RED SHIRT 4ever on is bodyyy.UNITED!!!
Nani isnt a Ronaldo replacement, he is a Giggs replacement which means he still has 1-2 more seasons to reach Ronaldo's level. People seem to forget Ronaldo's first 2-3 seasons he was always tricks, backheels, stepovers then for 2 seasons he performed at world class level and grew up a lot, dont be surprised to see Nani do the same in fact Nani was rated a better youngster than ronaldo. Ribery is pure quality and CR is not as influential as people think but he does have excellent technique on par with Messi. If Man U win quintiple then Ronaldo will leave as he cant win anything more at Man U.
Ribery, a great choice to replace Ronaldo should he choose to leave Old Trafford.
Is Ribery the third ugly brother behind Gary and Phil Neville? More than a passing / inbred resemblance !!
Ribery is a good player but not in the class of Cristiano Ronaldo. But, come to think of it, it will be interesting to watch both of them play together for ManU.
Enny. Lagos
Yes indeed. Lose Nani for Ribery. Too often Nani flatters to deceive with his showboating and inconsistency. His ego far exceeds his ability and I always groan when I see his name on the team sheet. Ribery AND Ronaldo in the same starting team is a very attractive idea.
i agree with no. 2 hehehe :)
Manchester United have just secured Ronaldos signiture on a brand new contract. He signed right before the Carling Cup final. C Ronaldo is not going anywhere and will stay long term in Manchester.
riberys a world class player, ronaldos too much of a diver these days, ribery can create and finish, his super quick and a similar player to messi, hasnt got ronaldos free kicks tho although ronny's free kicks ent bin too gud this season
Sell Nani, buy Ribery.
KEEP ROMALDO PLAY THEM BOTH!
him replce c.ronaldo no no no no !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! it's to cruzy to have ribery :O :O :O :O ribery can't ever comparing with ronaldo munch it too different
