Wed 02 Apr, 02:00 PM

QPR striker Patrick Agyemang has spoken of his respect for Preston manager Alan Irvine ahead of their reunion on Saturday.Agyemang left North End in January and, while his goals have spearheaded their march away from the relegation zone, Irvine has followed them up the table with his new side.

Preston now travel to Loftus Road to face the Hoops this weekend with both sides in relatively safe waters on 53 points.

"Alan Irvine really impressed me in the time I played under him," Agyemang told the club's official website.

"Alan came in and played the game the way it should be played. He's a great man-manager and he's got the respect of the dressing room.

"I said to him when I left I thought he'd do a very good job with the squad he had at his disposal and that has proved to be the case so far."
