Fulham defender Brede Hangeland admits Saturday's home clash against Sunderland is a must-win if the Cottagers are to avoid relegation.Fulham are currently six points away from safety and, with just six games remaining, Hangeland is well aware that they can ill-afford any more slip-ups at Craven Cottage if they are to remain in the Premier League next season.
"We all know we have to win games and this is definitely one we have to win," he told the club's official website. "Hopefully our fans can back us and we can produce the same type of performance we saw against Everton."
Roy Hodgson's men missed a chance to draw level with third-bottom Bolton after conceding a late equaliser at Derby last weekend but Hangeland is refusing to dwell on the result.
"We were a bit disappointed," he said. We didn't play that well and, against the only team below us in the league, we felt like we should have won it. But we're always good at getting the mood back in the camp as quick as possible.
"We're working hard to prepare for another vital game. It's no good thinking about the past; we just have to look forward to the next game."
