The Administrator of Rotherham has revealed that eight consortia have expressed an interest in taking over the cash-strapped club.A number of these have already been rejected, due to their failure to meet criteria set out by the Administrator, Jeremy Bleazard of XL Business Solutions.
Bleazard claimed discussions with the remaining parties were at an early stage and no formal offers have yet been received.
He said: "Sales packs have been distributed to those parties and I am looking for formal offers off the club to be received by close of business on April 11.
Bleazard confirmed that the majority of the players had taken wage deferrals, adding: "One player has chosen not to sign a wage deferral. I have taken advice regarding this player and I am currently considering the options available.
"I am hopeful the loyal fans of the club, the people of Rotherham and football fans in general will turn up to Saturday's and the other two fixtures to help save the club and to show potential investors the fantastic support this club generates."
