North End boss keen on Priskin deal

Wed 02 Apr, 03:45 PM

Preston boss Alan Irvine is seeking urgent talks with Watford counterpart Aidy Boothroyd over the future of on-loan striker Tamas Priskin. The Hungary international completes his month on loan at Preston after Saturday's trip to QPR but Irvine is hopeful of keeping the player at Deepdale until the end of the season.

However, with Darius Henderson still out suspended and Watford on a run of no wins in their last eight games, Boothroyd may want Priskin back.

"Like any player on loan, it is not our decision," Irvine told the Lancashire Evening Post.

"First and foremost it is Aidy's decision, then it is up to Tamas and, finally, it is our call.

"So no decision can be made until I have first spoken to his manager at Watford. And I will be looking to do that before the weekend if I can."
