Brighton manager Dean Wilkins has revealed he remains hopeful of extending midfielder Ian Westlake's loan spell until the end of the season.Westlake's initial stint on the south coast comes to an end after Saturday's meeting with Port Vale, but the Seagulls are still in talks with Leeds over keeping hold of him.
"Discussions with Leeds remain ongoing as regards Ian Westlake," said Wilkins.
"We are very hopeful, but we just need to wait and see."
Westlake was loaned out by his parent club last month and has made six appearances since joining Brighton, who are currently just one point behind Leeds in the League One play-off race.
