Bordeaux midfielder Johan Micoud has been accused of "lacking in morality" after winning a controversial penalty in the win over Nancy.
Micoud grappled with his marker Chris Malonga at a corner before falling over with the Nancy winger. In doing so he earned a penalty for Les Girondins that was converted to make the score 1-1.
Bordeaux went on to win the game 2-1 and go six points clear of their top-of-the-table rivals in the standings.
But Micoud has been slammed for his role in the incident and Eric Poulat, the referee who awarded the penalty, believes he was cheated by the former France international.
In his referee's report sent to the Ligue de football professional (LFP), he wrote: "Having seen the images, it appears that the player has committed an act of deliberate cheating with the only aim of tricking me.
"I therefore consider this treachery as extremely serious and find it inadmissible that a professional player could have an attitude that is so abject and lacking in morality," Poulat added, in extracts released in L'Equipe on Wednesday.
If any action is taken against Micoud, the player could be hit with a suspension.
The midfielder defended himself by claiming Malonga had grabbed him by the jersey, and that his actions had not been premeditated.
