Defensive duo missing for Lions

Fri 02 May, 03:30 PM

Millwall will be without key defenders Tony Craig and Andy Frampton for the club's last game of the season against Swindon.Crystal Palace have exercised the 24-hour recall clause in Craig's loan deal as the Lions are now safe from relegation while Palace are battling to secure their place in the Championship play-offs.

Frampton damaged ankle ligaments in last Saturday's 3-0 victory over Carlisle and was replaced by Marcus Bignot, who is likely to start in his place against the Robins.

Richard Shaw is expected to be handed a start after Craig's return while midfielders Daniel Spiller and Chris Hackett could be in Kenny Jackett's squad following respective long-term groin and knee injuries.

Zoumana Bakayogo may also be called up as defensive cover with Jackett still missing a host of players due to injuries.

Gary Alexander (ankle), Zak Whitbread (shoulder), Adrian Forbes (thigh), Alan Dunne (toe), Tom Brighton, Chris Day (both foot), Dave Brammer, and Mark Phillips (both knee) are all still sidelined.
