Simpson set to shuffle Shrews pack

Fri 02 May, 12:45 PM

Shrewsbury manager Paul Simpson is expected to ring the changes ahead of the club's final clash in the League Two season against Rochdale.Simpson was left disappointed by his side's display in last Saturday's 0-0 draw with Chester and is expected to hand a start to striker James Constable, who impressed from the bench following a brace for the reserves.

Midfielder Asa Hall came on 10 minutes into the second half against the Blues and could start at the expense of Darren Moss, while Steven Leslie is also pushing for a starting berth in midfield.

The Shrews will no longer be able to call upon the services of Luke Jones, Colin Murdock, Jimmy Ryan, Martin Riley and Michael Barnes after Simpson released the quintet from the club.

Midfielder David Hunt has been making his comeback for the reserves following a hip problem and may be involved.
