Williams set for final Robins bow

Fri 02 May, 10:00 AM

Swindon defender Ady Williams will play the 437th and last league game of his career when the Robins host Millwall on Saturday afternoon. The 36-year-old has announced that he is to retire at the end of the season and manager Maurice Malpas is set to give the former Reading man - who has made just one other appearance this season - a start to end his 19-year career.

Defender Pat Kanyuka could return to the squad after recovering from a groin injury picked up in the Robins 1-0 defeat against Leeds back in March, while youngsters Sean Morrison and Ben Joyce could start.

But defender Miguel Comminges is unlikely to feature after turning down the club's offer of a new deal this week, with the Frenchman expected to move to Cardiff in the summer.

Strikers Christian Roberts and Barry Corr remain the long-term injury absentees while defender Jerel Ifill is unlikely to recover from a hip injury he picked up during the 1-1 draw at Gillingham last weekend.
