Maik Taylor is relishing the prospect of an end-of-season decider against promotion rivals Reading on Sunday.

Birmingham need to beat Reading to be sure of automatic promotion to the Premier League.

The goalkeeper has won promotions with Birmingham and former club Fulham before and that has only enhanced his excitement ahead of this Sunday's showdown.

"We know exactly what's expected and where we're at and it's now full steam ahead," he told the club's official website.

"We're looking forward to the game and it's still in our hands. We know it's going to be difficult but we're certainly well up for it.

"These are the types of games that you want to play in as a professional."
