Grimsby Town manager Alan Buckley is keen to bolster the Mariners' midfield and attack in time for the start of the new season.Buckley has already lured defensive trio Matt Heywood, Richard Hope and Robbie Stockdale to Blundell Park and is now looking to strengthen other areas of his squad.

"There are other areas of the team that need looking at and I've spoken to the chairman about one or two things," Buckley told the Grimsby Telegraph.

"We had to take care of our priorities and that is what we have done so far.

"I've spoken to one or two agents about a couple of players and we'll have to wait and see what now develops.

"But I know I would like to get one or two other things going sooner rather than later."
