Guiza to reach future decision

Wed 02 Jul, 08:30 AM

Mallorca striker Dani Guiza, a target for Manchester City, Sunderland and Tottenham, is hoping to reach a decision on his future this week. The Spaniard, who was part of his country's Euro 2008-winning squad, had appeared to be on the brink of joining Fenerbahce.

A five-year deal was in the pipeline, but the Turkish club have been unable to settle on a financial package with Mallorca.

Guiza is valued at 15million euros (£11.9million) and is thought to be wanted by Barcelona and Italian outfit Roma.

Premier League trio City, Spurs and the Black Cats have also been linked with a big-money bid for Guiza.

The forward's representative Nuria Bermudez says talks are planned with Mallorca this week to discuss any offers on the table.

"Now, the subject is at an impasse," Bermudez told skysports. "I wait to formally receive the offers this week, so that I can study them and to decide with Real Mallorca.

"The decision may not be announced this week because it is necessary to finalise the operation."
