Millwall chairman John Berylson has comfortably won his battle with major shareholder Graham Lacey at the club's extraordinary general meeting.Lacey, who was blasted by the Lions' board for forcing them to convene the EGM, had proposed that shareholders be consulted on all major decisions - especially the regeneration scheme around The Den.
But the club's shareholder fans voted in their thousands against Lacey's proposals, while at the meeting itself just two of the 300 people present - Lacey's representatives - raised their hands in support.
Lions chief executive Heather Rabbatts told the South London Press: "It was a fantastic demonstration of support for the board. All of the board are extremely grateful."

Will the shareholders still be content at the end of next season? What significant signings have been made since last seasons dreadful performance? What money (if any) is available to the manager? I suspect very little. I am a shareholder,so have every reason to be concerned. I have supported the Lions since the 30s, so please ensure sufficient GOOD players are in the squad. They were not last season.
