Crystal Palace new boy Nick Carle admits he cannot wait for the Championship season to start after completing his switch from Bristol City.The Australian midfielder has signed a four-year deal at Selhurst Park after Eagles boss Neil Warnock persuaded him to swap Bristol for south-east London.

Carle, 26, saw plenty of Palace last season having played against them twice during the regular season and then in the two-legged play-off semi-final, and despite City's victory he was suitably impressed with his new side.

"From what I saw last year they have great ability, great talent and a great manager so I am really looking forward to being part of it next season," he said.
