Craig Shakespeare has admitted it was a tough decision to quit West Brom and join League One Leicester.Shakespeare, who was part of the Albion management team until last week, has been appointed joint assistant manager and first-team coach.
Shakespeare joined West Brom in 1999 and worked his way through the coaching ranks to play a major role in the Baggies promotion back to the Premier League last season.
He told the club's official website: "It's all happened fairly quickly but it's been a hard decision. It's been hard because of my respect and my high-regard for Tony (Mowbray) as a manager and as a person.
"The same goes for the person I'm joining here in Nigel Pearson, who has also taught me a lot. These are two guys that I hold in high esteem.
"I've made this decision for the sake of my own career and hopefully it will turn out to be a good one."
