Swansea's Jason Scotland and Angel Rangel are both expected to be fit for the start of the season despite the duo undergoing surgery this week.Defender Rangel underwent a hernia operation on Tuesday, while striker Scotland - who scored 29 goals last term - will jet out to Germany on Thursday for minor stomach surgery.
Speaking about Rangel's problem, Swans physio Richie Evans said: "Surgery is always the last resort, but if everything goes OK he should be back for the first game of the season."
On a possible return date for Scotland, Evans added: "We aim to get him back in time for the trip to Spain later this month."
